Electric Company marketed, designed, and manufactured Baldor-Reliance®
industrial electric NEMA motors and Dodge® mechanical power transmission
products.  A US-based company, Baldor was the global leader in NEMA
motors and a US leader in mounted bearings and enclosed gearing.  Their
products were sold to original equipment manufacturers as well as
distributors, and their efficient and robust designs were well-suited to
applications such as pumping, air handling and unit handling across a
variety of rugged and critical industries such as mining, aggregate,
food and beverage, water/wastewater, and general manufacturing.
